Phuket Holidays (Part II)

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

You’ll know this word if you’re Malaysian.

The 31st of August is Independence Day for Malaysia.

The Malaysians will have Merdeka month to celebrate it their Independence.

I also celebrated my birthday today!

I will share some pictures of my birthday dinner in the coming post!

Phuket Holidays (Part II)

Patong Beach is around 15-20 minutes from Phuket Town by taxi.

There are two big shopping malls called Jungceylon and Robinson s Mall.

There is a food street with many restaurants, pubs and bars!

I had a very nice relaxing day in Patong!

Ha ha... You can become Malaysian already!
You even know how to spell "merdeka" correctly.
People actually shouted "merdeka" three times on the actual day we gained our independence from Britain 53 years ago.

    I cannot believe it...

I can practise my Cantonese with you next time.
I can also speak Cantonese but it's a bit difficult to type Cantonese...
There are special words in Cantonese you cannot find in standard Mandarin.

  35. To London Caller,
You mean the flag counter? Have more Hong Kong
    readers than malaysian readers...
I don't know how the flag counter works...
but may be some of my friends from Hong Kong
were only read and didn't write much...

I know many Malaysian can speak Cantonese,
I have FuFu facebook, I usually write Cantonese with him!

  37. >First time to hear “九曲湖”, have a “九曲橋” in one chinese garden of Macau…

Actually, I was kinda remember the one in Shanghai.
It's weird that the Serpentine is called "九曲湖" in Chinese.
I got that from Wikipedia actually. Maybe it's a hoax?
You cannot rely too much on Wikipedia since everybody can write their own "stories" there.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Haha, I don't know everybody can write their own "stories" in Wikipedia...
but I know have many difference between english and chinese version!
I believe this “九曲湖” is a hoax, because nobody will check it!

So you cannot rely on it 100%.
Having said that, it's a good source of guide.
