Lotus flowers of Macau

The lotus was selected as the Macau city’s flower. It has become the symbol of Macau.

In summer, you can see many beautiful lotus flowers blooming in the parks of Macau.

The lotus therefore has become one of the major subjects in summer, for photography lovers.

These are the lotus flowers I photographed this year. I hope you enjoy them!

They are so beautiful. I have never seen such water lilies in Britain.
We do have water lilies here but most of them are 睡蓮...
And they are much smaller than the ones in your photos.

  12. Thanks London Caller, 睡蓮 is very beautiful too,
but I didn't see any in Macau this year...
I know 睡蓮 have purple, pink and yellow colors!
I think the most different is the lotus leaves
are more beautiful and we can take pictures with
    more composition with its!

  14. Thanks lechua, yes the pictures were extremely sharp,
but I didn't use macro lens, I only use the 135L

  20. Thanks micki, those were double exposures
I took one normal and one out focus pictures

  28. Thanks shloke,
I use the Canon 135mm F2L lens for take these pictures,
I think the details of the pictures were incredible,
I was very satisfy ot it!
The pictures 4 & 5 were double exposure,
I usually use this technic for shooting flowers!

  29. To London Caller,
Are these lotus edible? I only know the seeds "蓮子"
can use for making soup and dryed fruits for CNY...

  31. To JC,
